How to Make Siomai

PUT TOGETHER IN A BIG BOWL:
- 1 kg twice ground pork
- ½ or 1 cup kg peeled and chopped shrimps
- 1 cup onions, 2 carrots, 4 stalks leeks – chopped
- 1 cup chopped ham
- 2 whole eggs
- 1 cup chopped water chestnuts
- 1 tbsps salt
- 2 tsps pepper
- 2 tsps vetsin
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 ½ cup cornstarch

MIX WELL:
1. Place a little filling on each Siomai wrapper. Freeze.
2. Steam for 20 mins. Can be frozen 1 week with shrimps uncooked and 2 weeks without shrimps.
3. Serve with soy sauce and calamansi and sesame oil. For commercial, omit shrimps, carrots and water chestnuts. Use 2 big singcamas, grate. Put 2 tbsps rock salt and squeeze, wash then squeeze again. Cornstarch will be 1 cup only, pepper 1 tsp.
